Abstract
In children dislocations of the distal radioulnar joint without fracture are very uncommon than in adults. A review of the reported cases indicates thaat the most serious problem associated with this injury is making correck diagnosis.
If diagnosis is not made early, marked disability such as loss of forearm rotation, chronic pain and arthritis will be resultes.
We experienced a case of isolated distal radioulnar joint dislocation in ten-year-old boy who was negleted for 54 days.
After closed reduction, long arm cast with the forearm in full supination was done for 6 weeks.
The patient was completely asymptomatic and had a fullrange of motion without instability of the distal end of ulna.
